Seseh, the place where we grew up and learned to surf, is primarily a fishing village. Together with Seseh Bali Fishing Club, We are campaigning for sustainable and responsible fishing. We strive to convince the fishing community to use only eco-friendly methods and tools.

Fishing with us is not just about catching fish, it’s about working together as a community and sharing our life experiences for a healthy marine eco system to maintain a sustainable sea food supply. Using variety of methods, some of the fish species we may encounter include amberjack, barracuda, lobster, mahi-mahi, sailfish, spanish mackerel, tuna, giant trevally, yellow fin trevally, and wahoo.

Join us on the beach in Seseh for an evening of fun, drink, and great food. We'll build a fire and prepare a dinner with fresh locally caught seafood. Based on our decades of surfing experience, and years of instruction, you will learn the essential techniques to get you started, even if you've never set foot on a board before.

You will learn

1. The features of your first surf board, safety procedures, and understanding the ocean.
2. The dynamics of the surf spot, with focus on currents, shore break, sets, and the areas to be or not to be in.
3. How to carry your board into the water.
4. Paddle techniques on the sand continuing in flat water, as well as where to paddle out and paddle in.
5. Paddling techniques through breaking waves.
6. How to catch your first wave.
7. Pop up or stand up techniques, first on the sand and continuing in the surf, riding it straight, the basic bottom turn, and safety aspects of how to fall and resurface.
8. How to Identify the peak of a wave, and how to respect other surfers.

3. We will explain about the character of the surf spot, where to paddle in and out.
4. We will coach you on the technique of catching waves for a particular spot.

If you want hands-on experience building with bamboo, this is the workshop for you.

Come to Bali and participate in a 3-day workshop in which you learn the basics of how Ibuku’s design-build team takes a scaled bamboo model and turns it into a real but incredible-looking building. This workshop will cover a range of building techniques that are essential to constructing in bamboo.

WEAR
